After enjoying the movie thoroughly, Rajni commented that had he not been told that its director Susindran is a debutant, he would have had no clue about it.

With his impeccable and well-planned screenplay and casting, Susindran has managed to give a gripping tale to the audience. Though the film has a climax that leaves you with a heavy heart, audiences have accepted it and the film is doing well. In fact, the climax is what Rajni liked most.
