Suriya may debut as singer

Getting heroes to sing in their films seems to be the order of the day. It does enhance a film’s brand value, and also increases expectations. So we now have leading actors of Kollywood, lending their own voices and some of these songs even turn out to be chartbusters!

Devi Sri Prasad requested Vikram to croon for Kanthaswamy, and is in the process of discovering new voices. DSP, as he is popularly known, prefers to be different from the rest of his tribe and knows exactly how to extract the best out of his singers.

It will be quite exciting to listen to our very own Suriya sing for his next film. The actor is now busy filming for Aadhavan, and will soon start working on Singam with director Hari. According to reports, Devi Sri Prasad may create the music for Singam, and if it happens, he will surely request Suriya to try and sing at least one song!

This indeed will be another feather on Suriya’s cap. Let’s hope we get to hear his voice for a foot-tapping number!
