Fire destroys Vijay’s Vettaikkaran sets

Vijay’s Vettaikkaran set was completely destroyed in a big fire accident which occurred in the early morning hours of Friday at the AVM studios, Chennai.

The fire is said to have started actually on Floor number six at a set put up by a private television channel for one of their reality dance shows and spread to Vettaikaran sets on the smaller floor seven.

Nobody was injured as the day’s shooting was over and all the employees and technicians had left from the place.

The sixth floor set put up by the television company and the entire studio fittings, including the roofing was totally gutted. The smaller floor seven was partially burnt with some of the studio fittings and roofing still intact.

The producer of Vettaikkaran and Studio owner AVM Balasubramaniyam said that the shooting of Vettaikaran will resume tomorrow.
