Seeman turns action hero

Joining the list of directors turning action heroes is Seeman, who makes his debut in Uttaravu with newcomer Shanthini as the female lead. The huge supporting cast includes Nasser, Ganja Karuppu, Alex, Singam Puli and Singamuthu besides the villain’s role enacted by director Manojkumar.

Sources say Seeman is honing his dancing skills while taking lessons from stunt master Kanal Kannan for the action scenes.

In the view of Manojkumar, Seeman was the apt choice as the character he had in mind was a simple man who lived by his conscience. “With Seeman around, I could keep the surprise element alive,” says the director defending his decision in not choosing an established hero.
