Mankatha on August 15?

Thala Ajith has wrapped up the shoot of Mankatha, directed by Venkat Prabhu, in Hyderabad recently. The latest buzz is that the film will grace theatres for Independence day (August 15, 2011). The film has been shoot in Chennai, Dharavi slums in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangkok and Macau.

Mankatha, Ajith’s 50th film, has a huge star cast which includes Trisha, Arjun, Lakshmi Rai, Anjali, Premji, Ashwin, Vaibhav, Mahant, Anjali, Andrea and others. Cloud Nine Movies has produced this action thriller which is rumoured to narrate the story of match-fixing sagas in international cricket matches.
