Mankatha: The cat and mouse game
Thala Ajith and his Mankatha team are working overtime to complete the film, which is likely to grace theatres in August. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film also stars Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Premji Amaren, Arjun and Vaibhav in prominent roles.
Cloud Nine Movies has produced this action thriller which is rumoured to narrate the story of match-fixing sagas in international cricket matches. Arjun will play the role of an investigative officer who takes up the task of exposing the bookies. Thala Ajith will play the role of a gambler; then the cat and mouse game begins.
“Credit should go to Arjun for accepting this role. It shows his large-heartedness. Such combinations will add substance to a good script. I have tremendous respect for Arjun, as a person and as an actor. His role in Mankatha is crucial and filmgoers are sure to enjoy the final outcome,” Ajith was quoted as saying.
