Genelia turns 24

Friday marks the birthday of gorgeous Genelia, a lead actresses in the South who is best known for her spontaneous acting skills. We at Galatta.com wish her a very happy birthday.

Genelia began her acting career with Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003, after gaining wide attention in a Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan.

She received her first Filmfare Award in 2006 for her performance in critically acclaimed Telugu romantic flick Bommarillu, which was remade in Tamil in 2008 as Santosh Subramaniam. In the same year, she became the dearest of the Bollywood viewers through Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. Later, she went on to do several big budget flicks and blockbusters, including Urumi.

In addition to films, she has hosted the TV show Big Switch and is the brand ambassador of nine top brands: Cadbury’s Perk, Fanta, Spinz, Dabur Vatika, LG Cookie, Virgin, Margo, Colgate, Garnier and Fastrack.
