Rajini’s Rana shooting from January
Superstar Rajinikanth has started making appearance in public functions and events. In the past week alone, he took part in as many as 4 separate functions. Rajini, who stayed in Singapore for more than six weeks to get treated for his kidney-related ailment at Mount Elizabeth hospital, returned to Chennai in July but had been taking complete rest ever since his return.
Though he was resting, Rajini was always on the move, visiting his Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Kodambakkam almost on a regular basis for his morning walks. He also visited director K.S. Ravikumar’s office many a time to discuss the script and story of Rana to spruce it up further. Now that he has completely recovered from his illness, he has started taking part in functions and events.
The preparatory work to commence the shooting of Rana has also begun in right earnest. As Rana is being touted as Rajini’s ‘dream’ project, all the technicians and artistes connected with the film have been requested to complete their present assignments by December to make themselves available for the shooting of Rana from January onwards. Some time back, Rajini had announced that the shooting would commence in January.
Work in erecting huge, palace-like sets is all set to re-commence at the Ramojirao Film City in Hyderabad. Rajini is said to be gearing up mentally and physically for the long and hard grind of non-stop shooting from January. Major portions of the film are likely to be shot in foreign countries, with Britain said to be the first-stop where the first schedule of the shooting would be held.
We can only wish good luck to Rajini and his team!
