Andrea takes on an action avatar for Thiruppangal
Andrea Jermaiah has always remained close to many controversies in the past, notable among them being cited as the ‘main reason’ for the split between director Selvaraghavan and his actress wife Sonia Aggarwal. Sonia and Selvaa filed separately for mutual divorce from each other and Selvaa then went ahead and married Gitanjali, one of his assistant directors. Sonia, on the other hand, returned to what she knows best: acting.
It was rumoured that Andrea’s proximity towards Selvaa during the making of Aayirathil Oruvan was behind the parting of ways. Andrea, however, dismissed those rumours and went ahead and completed the film. In between her acting assignments, she also finds time to croon popular numbers in films and won many awards for her song Idhuvarai Illadha. from the film Goa.
Andrea is presently starring in the Tamil film titled Thiruppangal where she plays the female lead opposite Nandha. In Thiruppangal, Andrea is said to be playing an ‘action-packed’ role. The film is directed by Saradha Ramanathan, who earlier made the award-winning film Sringaram.
Andrea reportedly comes in the disguise of a ‘sex-worker’ to track down a gang of criminals involved in child-trafficking. She has done some ‘action sequences’ besides boldly playing the role of a mother of 7-year old child in the film.
