Vinay’s ode to Ajith & Suriya
Vinay is back in Kollywood. His long pending ‘Thillu Mullu’ directed by Madhesh has been given a fresh lease of life. It’s also been rechristened as ‘Mirattal’. Plans are on to complete shooting on a fast track.
Says the ‘Unnale Unnale’ and ‘Jayamkondan’ actor, “There is an interesting trivia about the title Mirattal. When AR Murugadoss wanted to make a film with Ajith after Dheena, he named it as Mirattal. But the project didn’t take off.”
He adds: “After some time, the film was revived with the new title Ghajini and Suriya played the lead role. And the rest, as they say, is history. I like Ajith and Suriya a lot and am happy to act in a film which has a title considered for their movies.”
“Mirattal will be a light hearted entertainer and it is not a remake of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Thillu Mullu. Madhesh has come out with a fresh story and screenplay and I am hopeful that Mirattal would be an important film for me,” concludes Vinay.
