Much awaited Tamil films of 2012
Though superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan didn’t have a single release to their credit in 2011, they would be in action in big-screen in 2012. Rajini’s Kochadaiyan directed by Soundarya and supervised by K.S. Ravikumar is likely to hit the screens this year. Filmed using the ‘motion capture technology’, the 3-D film is said to be a visual treat for the fans of the superstar.
Kamal Haasan is producing and directing his upcoming film Viswaroopam which has U.S.-based newacaster-turned-model Pooja Kumar opposite him as heroine. The film, which was to be directed by Selvaraghavan, turned hands later and has a significant role for Andrea Jermaiah, last seen in Venkat Prabhu’s Ajith-starer Mankatha.
Ajith would have his Billa-2 releasing this year, which is a sequel to his 2007 hit Billa. Ajith reportedly has put in lot of hard-work and has trimmed down a lot for the film. His contemporary and actor Vijay would have twin releases in Shankar’s Nanban which hits the screen on Pongal eve and Thuppakki which is being directed by A.R. Murugadoss. Vijay, who is said to be undergoing change in his ‘appearance’ for the film, has the bubbly Kajal Aggarwal as his heroine in Thuppakki.
After his 7aum Arivu, actor Suriya is back with his Ayan director for his next film titled Maatraan which again has Kajal Aggarwal as his heroine. Though Suriya’s role is kept under wraps, it is said that the actor would be playing 5 different characters in the film.
Simbu would do his best to release his Poda Podi opposite Varalakshmi (daughter of Sarath Kumar) and directed by Vignesh Siva. The shooting of his Vettai Mannan opposite Hansika is also proceeding briskly.
Vasanthabalan’s Aravaan, a period flick starring Aadhi, Pasupathy and Dhansika in lead roles, is also releasing shortly. Lingusamy’s Madhavan, Aarya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul starrer Vettai is also expected eagerly by the fans of the lead actors in the film.
