Shriya files complaint against Mollywood producer
Shriya Saran’s case is a queer one: despite her facial beauty, dancing skills, acting prowess and a figure-to-die-for, she is running short of offers in Tamil and Telugu. The actress, however, hasn’t lost heart and is staying back in Chennai instead of heading to her native place in the North.
Shriya has filed a complaint with the Nadigar Sangam against a Mollywood film producer. She is also said to be contemplating legal proceedings against him. She was the heroine of the recently Malayalam release Pokkiri Raja which has Mammootty, Prithviraj, Riyaz Khan, Charanraj and Nedumudi Venu. The script is about Shriya’s love affair with younger brother Prithviraj, who is at loggerheads with elder brother Mammootty. Later, the elder brother mends himself and unites the lovers.
Thomas Antony is the producer of the film who has invoked Shriya’s ire. “On the day I signed Pokkiri Raja, I signed under the condition that the film shouldn’t be dubbed in any other language. Thomas and I had signed the agreement which has now been breached by Thomas. I have filed a complaint against him and would also be filing a case with the Court seeking a ban on releasing the film’s dubbed version in any language,” said Shriya.
