Vaagai Sooda Vaa for 43rd International film Festival of India
Vaagai Sooda Vaa has received another prestigious recognition.Awarded the National award for Best feature film in 2011, Vaagai Sooda Vaa received good words from critics and the general audience.
The movie a comical drama featured Vimal and Iniya in lead roles directed by Sarkunam. Adding to the beauty of the rural landscape was M Ghibran’s impressive debut as a composer. Now Vaagai Sooda Vaa has been shortlisted among 20 top films, for the International film Festival of India.It was chosen by a panel of nine judges from across the country and being a National award winner,it was a direct entry. The 43rd International film Festival of India will be held in Goa from 20th – 30th November 2012. Vaagai Sooda Vaa is the only Kollywood movie to make it. The movie is set in 1965 in a remote village near Pudukottai. Actors Bhagyaraj and Thambi Ramiah did play supporting roles in the film. We congratulate the cast and crew, adding another feather to their caps.
