Dhanush as construction worker in Mariyaan

Here is a sneak peek into Mariyaan. The upcoming movie directed by Bharat Bala has Dhanush and Parvathi Menon (of Poo fame) in lead roles, with a major portion of the shoots canned in Namibia,South Africa.

The first look reveals Dhanush as a construction site worker who toils day-in and day-out to earn his bread for living.Away from home he has left his dear ones just to make things better and it’s those phone calls that keep him going.Mariyaan also marks the coming together of AR Rahman and Bharat Bala,who created magic with their Vande Maatram video for Sony.They also work together for the official video for 2010 Commonwealth Games.Rahman has also sung one of the songs titled Vizhithidu Nenje and the number was shot in the deserts with lead duo Dhanush and Parvathi. Capturing the visuals for Mariyaan is Marc Koninckx a Belgian cinematographer, who has won much appreciation for his work in Johnny Mad Dog.
